My friend just came across a 99 Bayo 220 cheap. So we took it out this morning in some sandycreek beds... all i can say is i'm hooked!! I've ridden some rentals in NewMexico and done some mountain trails before.. but that little thing was sooo much fun compared to them.

Anyways, what i'm looking for is a used ATV similiar size to the 220 ( cause it fits in a truck bed ) but i want a little more low-end cause the 220 was weak for wheelies. Terrian will be fields and creeks, jumping, fair share of mud.. and once a year moutain trails. Suggestions please!

The Bayou is a 215cc the Recon and BearTracker are 229cc but the Suzuki and Artic Cat are the closest to a real 250 utility at 246cc which helps out power output.I think the Bayou may have them all beat in price though.

The Recon is the best quad in the 250cc Range. Go to the Honda forum & scan for past posts.

I own one & would have no problem recommending to someone! It is surprising the power & turning of this quad.

If you want low end power for pulling wheelies you definantly want to go for the Recon. I can wheely my friends just as good as I my 300EX.

I would say q Wolverine but that is a little bigger than you wanted. (350cc) it is great and I jump it all the time with no problems plus it is 4X4.

I have a 1999 Polaris Trailblazer for sale and it can handle all the terrain you named with ease. Its all stock except the scott grips and shock wears. It runs perfect and has always been garaged and cleaned after every ride. Since your on a budget its probably the only 99 you can get this cheap and in this good of condition. Well i'm asking 2,500 firm.
