ok, i am 13 and have ridden ATV's and Dirtbikes since i was 8, i am seeling my dirtbike which is a TTR 125 and i am lloking into buying a 400EX, a Raptor 350, or a Z400. I have already checked the prices which are between 5 and 6 grand and i can't decide alone which i should get. I am lloking for advice on reviews and/or problems owners have had with these 3 ATV's. I will be using the ATV for trail riding and also just to mess around on. I have ridden both 2 strokes and 4 strokes so mixing gas and oil and the maintance is nothing new to me. I hope you have sum good advice and thanks.

 

I like the 400EX for tighter trails, because the engine will lug down. The Z400 is more pipey, so I pick it for more open country. Both machines have excellent handling, with a slight advantage to the Z. Later, both will mod up great, when you want more power.

How heavy are you??? These are large bikes for most 13 year olds, but certainly something you can grow into. If you are a light weight, I would consider something like a Blaster for a couple of years, then trade up to something bigger later. My daughter is 14 now, and has been riding the 400EX for a couple of years, but she is big for her age, and passes for much older.

The 350 is a reworked Warrior (and I hated my Warrior!), but I have never ridden one. They have gotten pretty good reviews in the magazines, but for a little more money why not get a 400?

 

yeah i am bigger weight wise for my age im about 180 and about 5'5"...not very tall....so yeah thanks for the input reconranger

go with a z or 400ex

 

honda 400ex may be your best choice for when your in the trail, it rides nice and corners real well.

 

go with the Z or EX but are great bike Z is a little faster though but their both awesome bikes get one of those
