Is there any thing a high preformance quad can do that a mx dirt bike can not. I'm trying to decide what to buy dirt bike or quad

MX bike will be quicker than a quad. I switched from dirt bike to quad, I kept getting hurt. I'm 42 and wounds don't heal as fast as they used to. One thing I like about quads is I don't have to worry about driving over pebbles, or sand, snow is a blast! The quad doesn't budge, but the dirt bike wanted to go out of control.

Since this is an ATV forum, what do you think we are going to tell you: get an ATV! Honestly, I would. With quads, you don't have to worry about the front wheel washing out in sand or on a rock. Quads can get through turns more easily by sliding, but dirt bikes can pull away on the straights. On TNN one time, I saw a quad vs. thunder bike (YZ400) and it was a dead tie. The quad would could get through the turns quicker but the dirt bike was faster on the straights. Jumping was pretty equal. Quads rule! Get one.

I think a dirtbike is a little safer if you are younger. Less weight , tighter turns, easier to control.

Quads rule for going slow like the older crowd does.
