Default Which sport ATV

Hi, I am 16 years old, 5'8" and 145 pounds. Right now, I have an Ozark but I feel as if I have outgrown it in everyway possible. I am thinking of financing a new atv. I am looking at the 400EX and the Z400. 2 of the people I ride with have the Z's and I love riding them but I never rode a 400EX. The price is right on the Honda but I am worried that it might not be as powerful. Is that true? I like how the Z throws you backwards when you get on the throttle and how the front end comes up for the first few gears. Is it the same for the Honda? Thanks alot for your help.

Jim

The EX has more low end power than the Z, but less top end. The Z likes to rev, and makes its power at a higher rpm. Both engines mod up really well.

I pick the EX for really tight trails that have a slower pace, and the Z for faster more open trails. And, the 450 for wide open desert.

The Z may be a little faster but they're fairly close. If $ is a concern then you'll probably get your best deal on the Honda.

The Z has alot of speed and power as does the ex but the Z tends to be a little faster plus i think it looks cooler, and the ex still has its plain old look. 2003 ATV of the year - Suzukie Z400
