nope,they dont have to,but im sure you can convince them to throw in the helmet atleast..

 

No laws stating they have to or anything. But I did get a new hjc motox helmet free out of my last deal.

 

i got free goggles and oil when i got my 400ex

 

I got a free hitch with my Recon. It never hurts to ask.

 

I've gotten ramps and oil, and a helment before.....but we're good customers too!!! I buy a LOT of parts. Now he just gives me a 10-15% discount on everything from new parts to new quads.........

 

I know that the there is no law that says they have to give you anything, if they did they would advertise this as a bonus offer to attract customers. However when a dealer sells a quad they usually will give you a helmet, especially if they think that you'll just ride without one if you have to pay for it. I guess it's a tough situation for them, if they don't give you one and they find out you got hurt, they may feel bad, and possibly get bad publicity for it. You know, ''he would have been ok if he had a helmet, but the dealer refused to give him one''. It may sound dumb but people are very quick to point the blame on someone. I think it's stupid to ride without a helmet at all.

Don't expect to get a top of the line helmet though, usually it's just an open face or cheapy helmet, as they do want you to come back to buy a better one.

Just my opinion.

 

Always tell them the dealer down the road os giving you this and that with the purchase but if you will match it I will buy it here.

I am stupid. if the dealer gives you free stuff you simply paid too much for your machines. trust me, I work for a dealer

 

Not always, and not all dealers are like you. Remember that some people who buy lots of machines and/or make lots of referrals get all kinds of preferential treatment.
