I have a friend who has a buddy who has an 87 Honda 250 R in really good condition,just rebuilt etc.He says it needs minor cosmetics an might wanna trade because he wants a beginner bike for his kid bro So Im told..I have a 2002 Mojave w big gun pipe Kn air filter,and jet kit.My bike is taken care of valves always adjusted,I just changed the oil again I only used Mobil 1 cycle oil after the break in.I also just changed my coolant to the blue coolant I cant think of what its called right now.Anyway would any 1 do this or is it even worth it,or like 1 of the people where I work tells me Im nuts if I do so?I love 2 strokes but I also relize there time is numbered an there not anywhere near as reliable as a 4 stroke.I know I just rebuilt my banshee again $$$$$$$$$$.ANyway thanks for all the replies.

 

if it is in good condition- trade him. i bought an '86R 3 yrs ago and have no regrets. it is very reliable. runs & handles great, will kick @ss.
