For the money what would be the best for me? This will be my 1st sport quad, although I have owned utility quads before. Currently I have a grizzly 660 which I have been loving this winter and a Kodiak, but with summer coming, i want to get something sportier. I plan on doing mostly trail riding, with some jumping at some local quaries, and MX tracks. I really don't see myself getting into racing at all, other than the occasional drag against my friends... I am 30 years old and 6'2" and 225lbs, so please spare me the start with a 350 and move up when you are more familiar with sport quads. I know how to be responsible, and I have had a change to borrow my friends Yfz a few times ( which is what got me hooked on the idea on getting a sport for myself ) ... I want to get something that I am not going to outgrow, and need to trade in... Bottom line is I can get an '05 Raptor for $1100 less... Should I save the money and get the Raptor since I am not a track racer, or is the extra $1100 worth it ?

 

Hi Brent, welcome to the forums! Did the YFZ feel comfy to you? Seems at best a 50/50 shot with guys your height feeling cramped on them. The Raptor may be a better fit for you all around and is certainly capable for what you are looking to do. There are some other very nice options if you are willing to go to another manufacturer also.
