400ex or z400

I have no problem with the 400ex, and it was a top consideration since they added an "R" to the tranny.
But my local dealer wanted $5700 for the 400ex on their floor, by comparison they wanted $6100 for their Raptor660. So I went to Suzuki and the z400 was $5800. At that point the 400ex was out of the running. And when I got to Kawasaki, and the dealer was having a big sale, the KFX400 was at $5200. To save that much "green" in my wallet, I had little choice but to ride the green machine out the door.
I guess it's all a matter of being at a certain time in a certain place. I'm sure there are 400ex owners out there who bought one because their local dealer had a great deal too.
