the 450r is a kick start no battery but its a beast very good quad its their top of the line sport quad and weights about 50-100lbs lighter than the 400ex also 50more cc's better suspension high performance engine... there's a lot difference but the 450r would be the best way to go i think

if your looking for them to lower the price shop around get prices from other places dont tell them how much you have or anythign and tell them straight up i'm going to be buying and whtas your best you can do... i will get backt oyou and checking a few other places out and ask if they can match or beat any competitors prices and go with the best deal... one catch i found out was they will lower the price of the quad thinking its a great deal and then up the freight, fee's lic. etc... all the BS to make up for the discount they somewhat gave you for instence in calif. i was looking at the 450r and they offered me it for 5300 and after all my fee's came out to 7400 and i was like wtf where did all that money go to so thats where it went made up for what they tried to give me it for... one thing i can say is shop around

Shop around. While doing this always get the out the door price that way they cant later stick you with hidden fees. And I would go with the 450R. Unless you want something with less power. Nothing wrong with a 400ex. But I would go with the 450R.

If your a beginner go with the 400ex man. I have been riding since I was 5 (now 21) and I still have a blast on em. Not to mention they are one of the most reliable sport quads out there.

Never pay sticker price unless it is really low from the original price of them. Do your homework first and good luck!

100 lbs lighter? lol its about 36 pounds lighter. if ur just getting into it, u'll appreciate the electric start, reverse, and lower price tag on the 400ex
