The only thing that the 400EX has better is reliability. It's bullet proof if you give it the proper maintainance.

I'd go with the 400ex
give up a little power for a bunch of reliability not to mention more aftermarket parts available

anyways the predator really is the quicker , faster machine,, i mean yea u can go with the 400ex and yea u will love it, id rather get the 400ex because of the brand <u>honda</u> now those things are built to last guys, but the predator will smoke it in a race, but lol dude it dont even matter they both will get u were u wanna go, except most of the places on this earth..

I use to have a 400ex and now i have the 05 pred LE. Between the two the 400 and pred handle great at slower trail speeds. Its when the speed picks up is when the pred completely dominates the 400 in handling. The power difference is unreal. You cant even compare the two. My modded 400 wouldnt touch my pred when it was stock and the pred responds real well to aftermarket parts. There is plenty of aftermarket parts for the pred. Realiability- the 400ex is bulletproof when left stock. Start modifying it and you will run into typical problems. Still a great quad. The 03 pred had some issues being its the first year but since then so far they have been bullet proof.

 

if you want power you want a predator, period.
