Hi,
I am looking to buy a utility fourwheeler. I am 17 and weigh about 130 pounds. I want a bike that well handle the trails i throw at it. I have seen a couple honda fourtrax 300's for sale, I have heard that the 300 is one of the most reliable atv's ever built. but i am just worried about the power and the clearence it has. Anyone have any opinions on this, or any other bikes that they would suggest.

Hey jonoman, Are you sure it is a utility bike that you want. A sport bike and a ute behave differently. The honda is no speed demon and could be a little a little dissapointing compared to other bikes. I suspect that you wont remain at 130 lbs forever. Do you want 2wd or 4wd, shaft or chain, straight axle or Irs. The suzuki Eiger is a great cross between sport and utility. Quick and agile with decent 4wd. Dont use a whole lot of gas either. Im not sure what type of trails you ride, rocky, muddy, smooth, tight woods or open terrain.

i would go with a 400/450 kodiak if u have the money becuase they could go through anything and they have enough power to get u wherever u wish to go. if u are lookin for a big bore than sportsman or grizz is the way to go.

Go for a Kodiak 450, best Mid-size utility out there. It's got it all. The IRS,Locking front differential, engie braking. Cant go wrong with one. I've yet to here someone who owns one say anything bad about them.

i would go for the yamaha bigbear 400 its a standard. grate for trails and is not as expensive as the kodiak. altho i own both a kodiak and a bigbear. for your wait bb would be the better choice and even if u do get heveir it can still handle u well. and as for the guy mentioning the weight factor to me . who stays with one atv forever smart 1

jonoman69, I would go for a 2000-2001 Kodiak 400,They had low/high tranny and are resonable priced and have a great track record.Watch the market and try to buy one with less 3000kms and you should do alright.
