Default Buying soon, here is my list

Ok I'm going to be buying soon and I have a list of ones I'm considering. I have posted about this topic before but now I'm down to a final few:
Polaris Scrambler
Honda 400 EX
Kawasaki KFX400/Suzuki Z400

I can't decide. I know they are all about the same speed and the 400s are a bit cheaper. Plus the things that I have seen about Polaris quality vs the quality of the Japanese brands worries me a bit.

Thoughts?

Mostly trails, and probably not a lot of mud. Probably a little in the winter snow but not deep snow or anything.

The little bit I have ridden a Scrambler was not a pleasent experience! The machine was clumsy and seemed top heavy. And the ride was rough. No thanks.

I pick the EX if I am doing a real tight trail ride, and especially if it is at all technical. It has an engine that doesn't mind being lugged down. Excellent suspension and handling. Absolutely bulletproof and 100% reliable.

I pick the Z for everything else. Excellent suspension and handling as well. It is the best all-around machine there is! It does everything pretty well. The engine likes to be ridden revved out though, and that's why it isn't the greatest choice for slow technical trails. It hops up real well when you are ready for more power. Probably as reliable as the EX.

the Scrambler is big and very heavy by comparison, but it's a 4x4. If you are a hard rider go with the z400 or the 400ex, the Scrambler is not a full on sport machine. It's really in it's own class with the Yamaha Woverine. If you want 4x4 go with one of them. If you want sport performance you'll be better off going with one of the 400s.

I would go with the Z or KFX400, but if you want power than the scrambler400

The Z/KFX/DVX is pretty much a better version of the 400ex so the 400ex is out of the question, if your just gonna do trail riding and no mud or any of that 4X4 stuff i would get the Z/KFX/DVX

A buddy of mine had 2 scrambler 400's. He loved them but he did have many problems. Eventually he got rid of them after he got tired of working on them constantly. I'm looking at buying a kfx400 pretty quick, so it gets my vote.
