I Have a Foreman 450s and want to get a quad for my wife and 14 year old son what is best the Honda Recon or the yamaha Beartracker

 

The Recon is better. The Beartracker is ok, but I would trade my Beartracker for another Recon in a heartbeat. The two hit head on with combined speed of atleast 25mph. Recon has minor cosmedic damage. Beartracker is unridable at this time. Also both are used in same area at same time, Bear has 2 bent rims (they are alum.) and has picked up 5 nails. Recons wheels are all round and tires are puncture free.

 

Went to my dealer a day or two ago and I asked what is(((your best selling quad))) right now and he said the Recon. I was amazed.

Get the new beartracker, it now has disc brakes up front.

I would recommend the Recon. I have had mine for 2 years now, and have riden it pretty hard, and have no complaints. If you read around and listen to other riders, you will find that the Recon is a respectable bike for the "250 Class"

 

Im 16 and I would say the Recon. I have two in my family. There great. They go anywhere that you will want to go. Not only will your wife and kid love riding a Recon, you will too, i know my dad does. The Beartracker does have better brakes. I never did like the brakes on hondas, but i also use my quad as a personal water craft.
