Default How much did you pay?

I was thinking that we should tell how much we paid for whatever we bought in hopes that others won't get overcharged. Different states do have different taxes, registration fees etc but this should get others in the ballpark as far as pricing goes.

Out the door price includes everything from state taxes to registration fees etc....The final price you paid.
1 week ago..05,400ex. $5650 OTD in expensive SoCal.

Dealer in L.A. was advertizing $5400 OTD but I would have spent the difference in gas+ 6 hrs drive time.

I paid 6550 OTD on my predator troy lee edition. I bought it from LA cycle sports and that place has the best deals. Not the nicest place, but has the BEST deals any where in the LA area

Did you get that at troy city ? They have the 06 for $5599 before taxes, I don't know what your taxes would be, as long as they weren't more than $200 tax and frieght it would be the same price.

Nope it was at a local place. Troy is nearly a 3 hour drive one way from here. They have good prices but for what I would spend in gas it was cheaper to get it locally.

Yup 3 hour drive for me but I saved $800 and got it before anybody around here had it. Although, I was talking to a local general manager and sales manager that I went riding with. They told me they definetely could've beat that price!! I told them I talked to a salesman on the phone and he gave me the "Come on down and talk so we can see you're serious." line.

My advise is to talk to the general manager of whatever dealership you go to. Don't accept any price over what troy city has. Talk to the general manager to get the best price. If you're getting nowhere with salesman, which is usually the case, you need to speak with the GM I can not stress that enough.
The general manager I talked to was pissed that his salesmen don't give the best possible price and get some volume moving. I guess he get's on them about that all the time, but the salesmen don't listen because they get paid on a % of total. I'd take the price off troy city and tell them that's your bottom line, no crate fee or freight. They'll try to tell you they can't but they can. Explain to them that you will buy at this price, and it's up to them whether you buy it from him or someone else. Then say you've already got this much time invested in a potential customer, if I walk away now you get nothing. But if I walk away I will find someone to sell this to me, I don't mind spending a little extra time to save money.

The guy I dealt with when I bought mine was the general manager, head salesman, all that. It was Soper Powersports in Victor, NY, and I dealt with the owner.

He wouldn't budge on the price because he had someone else that wanted to buy it. I know he wasn't bullsh*tting me because that guy came in looking for the the KFX I bought when I went in to pick it up.
