I'm assuming they are telling you that you can't ride it because of the rim? Next, it'll be "sorry I didn't know about that problem".
I don't buy anything broke unless they are giving it away.

He said I am more then welcome to ride it. The front tire just wont hold air for more than an hour or two. I am really on the fence on this one. Plus it has never had a green sticker =(. He does have the title in hand though.

The plastics look to be in good shape. He sent me four pics all of the front and one side though. It would not be such a big deal but it would be a 2 hour drive for me to check it out. Maybe I will just hold out and get a new one...

Just be careful and look it over real close. One rim, broke plastics, brkoe light/mounts, bent handlebars.....things could easily set you back big bucks real fast and there will be another quad for sale if your're patient. But it is a good price for my area, assuming it doesn't need much.
Good luck!

Hmmm.. it is hard ot tell how the bushings and bearings are from a picture. You are going to have to look it over in person. Tire losing air huh, sounds like poor maintenence.... Ask him when the last time he had the bike serviced was? Then call the place and verify it. The dealer should be able to pull it up. Have him pull one of the side covers to see if it is caked with mud etc. Check the brakes etc.
My own opinion is if the guy can't replace a leaking tire, chances are he has let other things go that should have been fixed too. I'd be real leery of this one.... unless you are well familiar with the machine and the owner...
Buyer beware

It's an '04 and has all these new parts and needs? I'm thinking it's been beat up pretty good.
I'd say look for another one that's had an easier life.
I saw an '05 in the paper by me with 2 rides on it for $4100. It went in a day.
