In another class, my picks would be the Blaster or 250EX. I don't like the 2-stroke on really technical stuff though. It does better on more open trails. The EX will go anywhere any 2wd utility will go (good ground clearance and an autoclutch).

con's: outdated, handles kind of heavy
i would say a z/kfx but trails arn't all about speed. so you cold get a used warrior and save some money.
