'06 Wolverine or ??????????????
#11
I have the new wolverine and love it. I live in colorado and bought it for what it is meant for - trail riding. If you're looking for a dune quad, DO NOT buy the wolverine. That's not what it is made for. I've been breaking it in at a local dirt track and have jumped it plenty of times, but we're talking like 2 feet in the air max - not 20 like you'd do with a proper sport quad. This thing is a blast and handles like a dream, but it's for the trails and having sport-like fun while out on them.
Good luck in your search, hope this helps.

Thanks all for the info,
there are many good units out there to choose from. I just need to decide what i am going to do with it. For me # 1 is must have reverse. After that wheel travel, ground clearance, ther ability to go slow in rough areas are important factors. Reliability and quality are up there. Today's list in no particular order is Wolly, z400, scrambler 500 4x4, Grizz, Bomb Outlander 650. Some times I feel like a kid in a candy store.

I see your list has added some more utility type machines. I'm not sure how "technical" the riding is that you are planning to do, but you definitely want to ride these machines before you spend your hard earned money. I find the utes as an entire class to be very clumsy, and so large and heavy (most are top heavy) that they are way more dangerous than any sport bike!
I have two very good friends who have Scrambler 500's. We trade off rides occasionally, so I am speaking from riding experience here. I wouldn't want to ride one of these anywhere but a flat fire road! Another friend has an Outlander, and same story with it!
If you absolutely need 4X4, the Wolverine is going to be the least of all the evils! It doesn't have low range, so it might not make the greatest rock crawler, but it is getting good reviews and is at least the least "utility" of your choices.
I see you also have the Z on your list. It is a superb machine. Great handling and the engine is proving to be very reliable.
