I think about plan buy a new hawkeye 300 4x4 next year.
Do you have a own one?

 

I recently got the 2X4 version for the wife and think it is a great bike. I was thinking I wanted 4X4, but really for around these parts, I don't need it. Plus the wife wanted red, so you know how that goes.

It rides really smooth with the IRS and still pulls my large frame around at about 45MPH, so not too bad. I might do a couple of mods to it just to see if it will pull a bit harder, but nothing too crazy.

 

Do you have tested on hawkeye 300 go up on climb hill get motor good bottom end torque?

 

How you can tell me about hawkeye 300 4x4. help good for motor low rpm torque? keep up on climb hill? no low ranger how work

 

While I'm sure that the Hawkeye 4X4 has a very plush ride with the IRS, at 550 lbs and with only 299cc's, it has to be one of the slowest adult sized quads that you can buy.

I believe that with the Hawkeye, Polaris was trying to target buyers interested in a quad to do work with, not a quad to play with.

 

It is actually being marketed as an entry level Midsize quad. It's not made for racing, or pulling stumps. I think it is more targeted toward entry level riders that want to be comfortable and just lug along on the trail. Though running some trails at 45 MPH is not lugging...

And Damron, to answer your question, yes, I have run it on some hills and it pulls very good. Stock tires on it need some help, but other than that, it does fine on everything I have tried so far.

Has a bike said better tire on 25 or 26. And 27 inch tire bit lose top end

i have a hawkeye it is good bike.but it needs more power for muddn.the litte tires they give you with the bike are to small.i went and bought 24in tires for the frount and 25in for the back. i used maxlite rims the lug pattern is the same as a polaris sportsman 500.but if you are like me you will want to do some mods to get the most power out you bike.so after i put my tire and rims on i went a head and got a kn air filter,jet kit,and universal exhaust . they dont make a exhuast system for it yet . when you do the exhaust it might be a little louder than stock but not so loud that you cant stand being on the bike.but since i did these mods i love my bike

 

I have an 06 Hawkeye 2X4. It has been flawless - capable, fun to ride, and zero problems.

It isn't for muddin', this is true , but it will climb anything and do 48 MPH even with ME onboard, and I weigh 320.
