just cant decide on an atv

i have an 05 foreman 500 and i want more power and speed. i was thinkin about a brute force 750 but ive heard some bad things about them, especailly about weak tie rods. i looked at the kingquad but i kind of outted that because i wanted more power but now ive kinda changed my mind on how much more power i really need. i was pretty much set on a bomb outlander 800 and from what ive read people either love them or hate them. i know the grizzly 660's are a well rounded and proven atvs and ive thought about the honda rincon but ive read that the rincons are underpowered but i know i love my honda. i just cant decided. i ride all types of terrain from hard pack, to mud, to trails with big rocks all over, and even in the river a few times. please help!! which would you pick?

For pure power the v-twins are unmatched. However, for an all around good performer, with all the best features like efi, diff lock, good ground clearance, suspension travel, and all for a good price the KQ700 is a good choice. For my style of riding and what I personally like the Polaris sportsman 800 is my pick. I also like the Arctic Cat, but they are just priced so high, for what I like. I would also wait a few more days for the 07 yamaha release. Good luck.........

The obove post is what i would have said. My Arctic Cat 650V2 was 7300 but it was worth it! These Vtwins have enormous power! I also would wait to see what type of Grizzly they have for 2007, or you can look at Polaris, which is a nice quad, or spend the money and get an Arctic Cat.

i have absolutley no interest in polaris. i looked at the artic cats but i like to go muddin and i was told that the belts are sealed very well and you get mud and water in them and it messes up the belts and i was told that they are expensive to repair. when does the 07 grizzly come out? and money isnt really a problem because i was willing to pay $9,500 for the bombardier outlander 800.

The belts mess up????????? Did you look at my pics? Ive been in mud and water to the point i was standing on my seat, and i havnt had my belt cover off once! Your in the stone age arctic cats!!! Now days, these things are air tight! On top of that, the ultimax atv belts are like 45bucks, i have one for back up, and i have 840miles on my belt now with no slips, or squeaks, or any problems. But Grizzly is a nice quad also, good luck!!

Polaris and AC handle mud and water better than any other quad. As for the Grizzly, it too has a belt in which does in fact get water and mud very easily. I know cause I have 2 grizzly's. They are not snorkled nearly as well as the polaris I have. Also, the Brute's don't take as kindly to water as the Polaris and AC either.

Definetely just a story, unless it's a polaris sport quad. I hear the scrambler is bad about getting the belt wet? I know for a fact the sportsman is sealed and factory snorkeled as good and better than most atv's. I have never had my 500 to take on water, however, my two yammies do all the time in the same stuff. After tracing the snorkles for the belt and breather on both the yammy and the polaris there's no wondering why. Very poor design on the Yamaha in my opinion. Arctic Cat are also well snorkeled for the 2005 and down models. I just read a report stating they moved the snorkels in 06 and they now have problems. I know the 05 models I ride with have no problems though. You might want to research the 06 models to be sure.
