Good choice! You will not regret it.

I hope I won't. When I started looking at ATV's, I was thinking "keep it until it dies." Now, I'm set on keeping it for 3-5 years, selling it, and getting something bigger and more powerful. So for now, the Kodiak 450 will be fine...a good learning machine and a decent quad nonetheless.

Roody,

After all your research, how do you like your new Kodiak? Just curious.

LOL...I haven't even picked it up yet. I was supposed to get it last Friday, but they didn't get it in, so the guy at the dealer is picking it up himself today. He'll bring it back to his dealer, service it, and put the winch on, and I'll pick it up Thursday night. I'll ride 2-3 hours between Thursday and Friday, then go out for a nice long trail ride on Saturday.

There's nothing like having to keep waiting for your toy is there?

Ahh, finally! I picked her up last night. I put 2 hours and 5 miles on her between yesterday and today. I am 100% positive that it's perfect. It turns so easy that I'm amazed. The power is decent...not too little, but not so much that I'll get hurt. Overall, I'm very impressed. I can't wait to get her out on the trails!

Congrats man!!! I'm glad you like it. With it having diff. lock and IRS you'll probably be able to get through more than a Vinson would have. HAVE FUN!!!

So, should I change the preload from setting 2 to setting 3?
