Default Buying a new quad HELP!

Hey I am looking for a good quad but I am on a tight budget. I have noticed that the smaller sporty quads seem to be quit a bit cheaper such as they warrior,trailblazer,banshee... why are they cheaper? Also are those smaller quads good machines for full grown men or are they only good for kids? Will they handle some mud and some trail riding or are they only for racing and jumping? Sorry for all the questions but thanks alot.

Default Buying a new quad HELP!

The Trailblazer is more of a beginners quad, although they can be made quite fast. The Warrior and 300EX are very appropriate for an adult's trail rider. Both COULD be raced, but for an adult they are primarily intended to be recreational quads. Neither one is super fast or flashy, but if they fit the budget will get the job done. A little mud is no problem, but ground clearance is limited on most sport quads such as these and they do high center easily.

The Banshee is really in a class by itself. Killer engine hamstrung by it's frame and suspension. Most people love them for the power output, and they do make good trail quads if you don't mind the high strung nature.

Take a look at the Polaris Hawkeye 4x4. Should be able to find a new one for about $4,000.

Honda 400EX would be an excellent machine, as long as you have decided that you don't absolutely need a 4X4.
