I currently ride a 350 Wolverine. I would like a machine with more power, but do not want a land yacht.Handling is important. We do a lot of fast trail riding with mud and rocks thrown in for fun.I was looking at a 650 Brute Force. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Suzuki Vinson 4x4 Semi-Auto, manual, gear drive, faster than a Brute Force, Grizzly, and Rincon, easy to ride and handle, its gear drive has no belts to slip and smoke, it has low and high range and push botton on the fly 4x4, when riding it in 2x4 its a sport race machine, in 4x4 its a tough hill climber, it will take deep mud and water and vertical hill climbs better than any belt drive atv.

Welcome to the forums flatnfat. One thing you should know when starting to post here... MotoF150 is notorious for spreading half-truths and blatantly incorrect information in these forums. He loves comparing quads with semi-auto transmissions to yesterday's belt driven trannys.
On another note, if all you're looking for is power, then the Brute Force should fit the bill. I'd also look at the Suzuki King Quad WITH the belt transmission, or the Yamaha Grizzly. Preferably the new '07 Grizzly but that may be getting out of budget. The Rincon would also be a good consideration if you want a combination of handling and power. I'm not a big fan of the Rincon but it does do some things very well. All of these quads a relatively light to other offerings in the same class.

I'm amazed at how nimble the Grizzly 700 feels for a 600+ lb machine. The power plant is smooth, but not the highest HP/TQ output regarding big bores. I don't care for the soft suspension settings from the factory/dealership, but I'm not allowed to change them (wifes' quad), so I don't know if the stockers can be made better.

If you can wait till January. Then check out the new Can- Am Renegade. Its a 4 wheeldrive crossover quad. 800cc, IRS, Fuel injected and looks like a sportquad. This all equals the fastest utility out there.

It's a nice looking machine too. I wish I were still in the market, but my wife said that 2 quads in 2 months for 2 people is enough...unless I get a job.

I would be torn between the BF and the Grizzly. I love the kawi V-Twin, thats why i got an Arctic Cat 650V2, (arctic cat is my favorite brand of ANYTHING). But the Grizzly would be my second quad if i could get another one.
