Default Looking for a 250

I am looking for some advice from any one willing to help out. I am looking at 3 different machines.

The first is a new out of the box 2005 Yamaha Bruin 250 for $2700
The second is a 2006 Roketa 250 for $2500
The third is a 2006 Kawasaki Bayou 250 for $3000

If any of you can give me some advice either good or bad I would appriciate it.

Thanks,
JT

Do youself a big favor....Honda 250EX if you need a sport quad, or Recon if you need racks and big fenders!

Since those are the three choices, I'd go with the Bayou.

Nice machines, and have a history of dependability.

And welcome to the forums, Whoadamit.

I agree with reconranger on his picks. Honda 250EX or Recon

But going by your picks it would be in this order:

1.2005 Yamaha Bruin 250 for $2700
2.2006 Kawasaki Bayou 250 for $3000
3 2006 Roketa 250 for $2500

Scoot those Bayou's have bump steer bad and you really should have known this. (shakesscootowakehimupsmiley)

Maybe it was just the older one I rode. It had bump everything. Not taken very good care of, but still ran pretty good.

I wasn't asleep, I was just restin my eyes.

How about the Polaris trail blazer. excellent quad and very reliable. It will be the quickest and best handling of them all and you can get racks for it. If thats not a choice than go with the bruin. The 250ex would be great but it costs more.

Thanks for the help so far guys I think I have eliminated the Roketa. Now I am just trying to find the best between Kawasaki and Yamaha.

Read this Bayou vs Briun Read the owner's reviews on this site and both machine are well liked.

Bruin has, longer suspension, larger front tires, front disc brakes and larger gas tank.

Bayou has a better M.S.R.P(suppose to anyways).,lighter weight, more ground clearance and nice Semi-independent Dual shocks rear end.

Tuff call but both are reliable so thats not a deciding factor.

I was at the dealer this moring. As I walked by the sales floor, I notice that they had a Recon and Bayou sitting side by side. I pushed on the front suspension of the Bayou....and it maybe had an inch of very tight travel. The Recon was absolutely plush by comparison. Couldn't find a Bruin to compare.
