Who ever said I was inexperienced?

This will be my 4th ATV and I've been riding all my life. I've got experience.

Thanks for all the replys, they've been very helpful. I've only heard great things about Hondas and I'm thinking it will be the one. It will take a lot to sway my final decision as I feel it's a great machine. Thank you!

Hasnt Hondas ATV sells dropped a few percent from prior years? It is still #1 in sales. but the others keep Increasing in revenue every year. Hmmm.....

It all depends on personnaly preference.
I prefer the Yamahas over hondas due to past experiences with longevity.
Both are great quads but I have all of my 5 yamaha's left and running and 2 broke down honda's in the junk yard.

Every one of my Yamaha's and Honda's have always started good and never really left me stranded but the Yamaha's are still going after the Honda's gave it up

Ive asked this same question on other forums and some posters have brought up EFI problems on the Rancher 420. Has anyone else heard about these and are they a big deal? I'm kinda in the dark here being used to a regular ole carb.

I have had no "problems" with my EFI. I watch the Honda board pretty close and there have not been any posts in here either.

Can you explain the nature of these "problems", or at least give us a link to those forums????

Well I only see 1 poster that has a problem with the efi. I dont think you should base your opinion on one problem. The 420 is a very solid machine and may be the best in its class next to the kodiak450.

The "problem" he is talking about is backfiring. Might not be the greatest thing for a hunter, but not exactly something that will leave you stranded in the woods....is it!

Got to say that mine has backfired a couple times now, but it's hardly a major problem. But, you don't see any other posts on this issue, so this guy has a problem that is unique to his individual machine.

Tippman-You seem to be looking for an excuse to not buy this machine. It will be your loss if you pass it up! It's the best thing in its class, and the best value for the money of any quad on the planet. Maybe you sense that it's to much machine for you to handle???

Word of advice,
Never buy the first model year of anything!
They haven't worked out all the bugs yet.
