Which one would be good for some mud rocks and steep hills? Also with the prairie having low range(a plus) would this be needed with the other bikes?

I think the grizz 350 would be the best because it has irs i think 4wd and yamahas ultamatic tannsmision and the low gear is good for steep hills and towing

the 06's don't
I dont think they put a low range on the IRS 07 "grizzly" either.
I dont have any problems climbing hills or turning my mudlites xl's (25")

You will probably be fine w/ either quad, the Hawkeye I'm guessing would struggle more because of its smaller size and motor.

I think it is more a preference on what you want (brand). I Think the prairie has a locker also.

The 360 is the only ATV in your choices with low range I think. Rock crawling and a low range go hand and hand.

The Rancher 420 is fuel injected and water cooled. Very agile, nice handling machine. This engine is a peach!

If you are looking for a bargain, try finding a leftover Rancher 350. Should be able to get an excellent price on one of them. I own both, so I have to say that the 420 is much improved.....

Can you run synthetic oil in the rancher 5 speed manual shift with out harming the clutch?
