I've been riding quad's for about five years now and Im lookin to buy a new one. My first quad was a Polaris Scrambler 400 and then we got a Sportsman 400. So im pretty much done with the utility quads and im looking to get a sport quad. I don't really know what I want. I do trails, not to extreme but can get rough with some pretty big hills. Oh and I am 17 and 160 lbs. What do you suggest???

The best trail quads are the 400's. I like the Honda 400EX for really tight, more technical trails, because it has an engine that will lug down and doesn't mind being ridden slowly through the rough. Good hill climber, because it has lots of low end torque.
The Suzukin Z400 likes to rev (but not as much as a 450 does), so I like it for faster more open trails, and wide open country.
Both handle exellent, and are dead solid reliable machines!

i have a raptor 700 and love it. probaly the best all around quad i have ever ridden. lots of bottom end power for trail riding. does pretty good on mx track and does pretty dang good at the desert ie dunes and hard pact. the suspestion is pretty much the same as the yfz450 so very easy to upgrade if you want.
the 660 is a "alright machine" but no compairson to the 700

The Raptor 660's can be a little bit tippy. If you're looking into the raptor I would suggest going for the 700 over the 660. The 700 is an awsome quad with plenty of power and handles like a dream. Out of the 400's I would recommend either the 400ex for the tight trails, or the Z400 for the open trails you can get up to speed in.

I would like a 700 because it's got the power, and I know I would never get tired of it, the only thing I'm worried about is that it will be to much power. Do you think there's a tremendous power difference between a 400 and the 700(obviously the 700 will have more power) but i wanna know if it's a huge difference. Thanks
