Was looking at getting a renegade 800 but the Kawasaki 750 caught my eye the other day and the Kawi dealer says the Kawi walks on the renegade, Im looking for low end tourque with the best suspension out there. I cant find any ATV comparisons and Im looking for the best machine out there....

Im sure this will open a can of worms!!!!

 

I CANNOT SPEEK FOR THE KAWI BUT THE RENEGADE IS A VERY FAST 4X4 MACHINE, ALLONG THE LINES OF A RAPTOR 700R OR A HONDA 700XX. I AM WILLING TO BET THAT THE DEALER MENT IT WOULD COMPARE MORE TO A OUTLANDER 800 AS THESE TWO ARE MORE COMPARABLE TO EACH OTHER.

 

He said nothing compares to the kawi 750 and I mentioned the renegade, he said he was out with the kawi and beat on the renegade 800, I laughed and said that his story was hard to believe. I thought the renegade was the poo....

 

DEALER'S ALLWAYS TELL YOU WHAT THEY THINK YOU WANT TO HEAR!

 

Sounds like dealer BS - when they start quoting "facts" that always favor their brand ......time to fine a new (and honest) dealer.

A BF 750 will give a good run on an Outlander 800. Doubt if it could be as fast unless the BF rider was more skilled than the rider on the Outy. No way that a BF will "walk on the Renegade" unless the Renegade driver puts it in reverse by mistake.

Then get a utility atv the Renegade isn't as practical for trail riding!
It would be hard to outrun an Outlander 800 and Polaris 800 isn't the fastest but does everything else better.

 

dirt wheels did a shoot out for top big bore atvs...I''m sure you can take the results w/ a grain of salt as most companies/magazines get funding from sponsors...
Overall the brute finished 1st the Grizzly finished 2nd.
The AC1000 was first in speed, the outlander 800..then the kingquad as far as 0-60mph goes..

0 to 30 mph radar test:

1) Arctic Cat Thunder Cat 1000
2) Kawasaki Brute Force 750i
3) Can-Am Outlander 800
4) Suzuki King Quad 700
5) Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI
6) Yamaha Grizzly 700 FI

They also did timed runs from zero to 60 mph, and here were the results of those test:
1) Arctic Cat Thunder Cat 1000 ...... 7.36 seconds
2) Can Am Outlander 800 ...... 8.24 seconds
3) Kawasaki Brute Force 750 ...... 12.65 seconds

 

Ya, You cant put to much stock into shootouts. When was thids shootout anyways. I know that the atv action mag said the 08 polaris was alot faster than the 07??? didnt know if this was true. If it is it wouldnt seem like it according to dirtwheels. Like I said, that is the reason you cant put much stock in these mags. But as far as your question. The Kawi will not run with the Renegade. I raced a renegade on my 525 and it kept up well. I was shocked. Couldnt beat me but alot tighter than I thought. Renny is FAST for its handicaps. but the kawi is nice as well. Test ride both of them and see what suits you best. The price tag on the renegade is alot steeper. Also the renegade has a bad rep on frames. Might just be a myth, might not. something to consider though.
