Quickest 700-800cc bike off the line

Any belt drive. A belt drive will beat a shifter off the line. About 200' out or so then the belt starts chewing up the power and it's all over unless the belt quad has big power to overcome the efficiency of the shifter.

You should check out the big bore 4x4 shootouts we've been having at QUAD Magazine over the last few months. If you're talking plain utility machines, the Outlander 800 is certainly the fastest.......but also the most expensive. If you just want something that pulls hard out of the corners, the new Brute Force 750 is quick as well.
If you want some advice, don't buy a machine based solely on how fast it is off the line!

ATV Magazine did timed radar test from 0 to 30 mph and from 0 to 60 mph with the current big bore utility ATVs. The Thundercat 1000 was the fastest in both categories. From 0 to 30 the Brute Force 750 was second fastest, followed by the Outlander 800 in a close third place. From 0 to 60 the Outlander 800 was second fastest, with the Brute Force 750 in a distant third place. So the Brute Force got off the line quicker, but the Outlander caught and passed it just after 30 mph.
I agree with the above post though, that speed off the line is about the least important thing to think about on a big bore utility quad. The Thundercat was the fastest in that ATV Magazine shootout, but it finished dead last in the shootout overall. The Brute Force 750 actually won the shootout overall, and the Grizzly 700 finished second place. And the Grizzly 700 was ranked second overall despite the fact that it was the SLOWEST one in the drag race testing part of the shootout.
I'm waiting for next months Quad Magazine to come out as well, to see who wins the big bore shootout between the Outlander, Brute Force, and Grizzly. Should be interesting.
