In the past, they have shared some (rebranded) models, but from what I hear this relationship is ending....

You guys bashing the bayou are talking out your asses
First off I DO like the recon 250, its a great machine
I have more exp. on the bayou 220, which the 250 is the same engine just bored out a bit.
I actually hear the 220 is a bit spunkier.
The 220 is very well built, i would put its reliability and abuse taking at the highest level an ATV could go.
I ride with one all the time, and it surprises everyone, its so nimble and capable

No such thing as a unreliable 250 2wd,there just to simple to to not be reliable.
The Suzuki does have a edge over the Honda that it is cheaper, longer suspension, little more cc and front disk brakes.
Honda vs Suzuki specs.

kukerdan there's nothing wrong with the bayou but its problem is the front end design in that it has no upper a arms so it will never handle as well or be as stable as a recon.

You better care, because you are going to have to spend your hard earned money on it! But that's what the forum is for...you can learn from other mistakes and succeses.....

I Never see a simple air cooled 2wd 250 of any year or make that need money poured into it or on that can handle better or had more power. Those ATVs are just to simply made to say one is better than the other. My old 1986 250 Moto4 I sold 10 years back is still running the trails from want I have been told.
