raptor 250 vs 250ex vs z250 vs raptor 350
#1
Hey everybody. I am getting my son a new atv. I'm not sure what one is right for him. He is 12. We are deciding between the raptor 250, 250ex, lt-z250, or the raptor 350. He will be doing trail riding and going up some pretty big hills. We do not really want a utility quad or need 4wd. What quad is best for him, and thanks.

The 350 is kind of a slug. Even though it isn't all that heavy on paper, it handles like it is. Old, tired design that you should pass up.....
Pick the shaft drive EX if you ride a lot of semi-technical stuff with rocks or mud/water (it has high ground clearance). For everything else, get the Raptor!!!
The LTZ is an EX knockoff but without the sportclutch, so I would pass it up.

the rappy 250 is a nice lil quad but will be outgrown in no time, the ltz and the ex and more what your looking for, but i wont recomend one better then the other, really it depends on which one you like better, their close to the same... the 350 is a good quad for teens, but mabye not what your looking for, a raptor 350 is nothing more then a fancy warrior and lacks technology.. i would choose one of the 250s.

ok 12 umm the honda would be best its probably the easiest to ride . . . . the raptor 250 is the quickest one and its what i have but for trails it is a chain which is good..... but not for trails. the 250ex is easiest with its semi clutch and shaft drive
the raptors handling is amazing but if your doin trails 250ex is the one but thats only because its a semi clutch and shaft drive which i already said but i will go ahead and say if you want a fast good handling reliable fourwheeler the raptor is good
but if you want a fourwheeler for the woods and your son is starting and doesnt have very much experince with clutches i hate to say it but the 250ex
