03 raptor 660 vs 04 predator 500 troy lee

Im 6 foot 3 250lbs so i was looking for a bigger bike im a rookie to the sport atvs iv only owned utility atvs...from what i can tell these are the best deals i can find in my area. I plan on doing a little bit of everything racing (my buddies nothing serious), hitting the sand doons and trail riding in the mountains. Im looking for the better all around ride. Both appear to be in good condition the predator is probably in a little better condition. Asking $3000 for the raptor $3500 for the predator. What do u guys think?

they are both excellent machines and you would prolly be just as happy with either one. comfort being 6' 3" would be my primary concern in your situation, so i would have to say sit on both of them and see which is more comfortable for you, keeping in mind you will be riding it all day long at times. would think the rappy would be a lil more comfortable for a bigger rider but you never know till you check... As far as the bad side to either of them goes, the 660 tends to be tall, narrow, and tipsy while the predator seems to be harder to pop wheelies on. This is what I've heard and what I've read in articles. Although, I've seen many people pop wheelies on the predator (popping the clutch and while moving) and I've never actually heard of anyone tipping over the 660. I mean, I can sort of powerslide on my 4 wheel drive rancher and not tip it over. The Raptor has way more aftermarket options that you can buy for it while the predator doesn't have much. Again, this is what I've read. I don't have any experience on either of these but I'm also in the market for a sport quad so you can bet that I've done plenty of research on just about every quad out there. Being that you're a bigger guy, you might want to consider the Bombardier DS650 too.
