Default Used TRX250R OR Z400

I used to have a 87 250R and really liked it and I know the 400 is more reliable, I was just wondering what you r opinions were. I trail ride and play in the sand also.
Any suggestions?

The new redesigned Z400 is getting great reviews in the magazines! The older ones are fine machines as well.

The 250R will be a project quad. Given its age, you will be working on it a lot.

So, if you like to wrench get the old R, but if you want to ride get the Z.

definetly the Z400. It is a great all around quad.

I liked this project from a couple years ago:

Z400 Project

A cool 250R all original to show off at the dunes would be cool though. Just not as a daily rider.
