Default Looking for a unsed 4x4 ATV.. need suggestions

Well I have been trying to decide what kind of ATV i wanted to buy for a month now.. I was almost convinced on getting a 400 ex.. BUt I am starting to think 4x4 is the way to go for me. I am looking for something to take out in the woods and mountains,, Maybe plow my driveway.. I do not do a ton of extreme things.. more or less spend time with the family.. I am looking to spend abou $3000 for used one.. Maybe willing to go $4000.. Need some recomendations on the most reliable.

Thanks
Chris

Honda 350 Rancher, I would say 420 Rancher but they still maybe out of your price range even used.

Rancher 350, with a Warn 424 installed (turns it into selectable 2wd/4wd). I have a 350 that is nearly 10 years old now, and has thousands of hard a$$ miles on it, and not one single problem of any kind!!!

I'm with the guys above on the rancher. Fun on the trail and will push some snow.

Just checked NADA and they say the price range is from 2200 to 2700.. The shop wants 3000 for it.. DO I offer lower? or look elsewhere?

Sprockets. LOL.

If NADA says it's worth $2,700 I wouldn't pay any more than that. They made the steering a lot easier in '01 so the '02 would be a good one to get. The reason the Sportsman 500 has been the world best selling quad several years in a row is because it's a great quad. They wouldn't sell a million Sportsmans if they weren't any good.
