yeah i think I prolly will come pick my new toy up from them and I think it prolly wont be untill later in the spring. I am still torn between the 2008 foreman or the rancher. not quite sure which one but know alot of guys with foremans and they love them. As to what taxes, Im not exactly sure..... I am 20 years old and this is my first big purchase from a dealer that is a new product. Im not sure if it is a sales tax or a property tax that is charged on cars? Im not sure but i know that all the taxes from dealers around here amount to around $600-700 not quite sure and havnt spoke with them yet just keep checking their website. I figure I will figure this out when I get ready for the purchase. As in here you do not have to register a 4wheeler and I am not planning on getting insurance on it.

ozark-rida, get the insurance. it's not that expensive, and like the earlier posters said, you don't want to be making payments on an atv you dont have any more.

that is true. I just went to get a price on insurance for my buddies new 2009 polaris sportsman 850 xp and they quoted him $697 a year! that is twice as much as my truck insurance for a year! so if i cant find it for less than that I can do without it. I think im only going to be financing about $1000 anyways

You're only 20, so it's going to be higher than say a 30 yr adult. But you can tweak the coverages to get only what you need so it's not so high. On a cycle policy the Med/P.I.P. coverages are what makes it so high. You can get a policy with liability and comp (in case it's stolen), and it's pretty cheap. Also, if you plan on going mudding, check into submergion [sp] insurance. The cheapest, trustyworthy companies I have found so far are Geico & Dairyland. Check with those guys for a quote. I used to work for Geico, that's how I'm pretty familiar with them.
