Ok so don't laugh to hard. I'm and 18 almost 19 year old kid, and I was wondering with almost no credit other than my brand new car that I just got 5 months ago would I be able to get a 6 or 7 thousand dollar 4 wheeler, and if so what kind would you reccomend for trail riding and snow and pretty much everything I guess : /
Thanks in advance for the help

I guess it would depend on how much you make. Talk to your bank and let them guide you as to what you can afford. As for what to buy, the sky's the limit. You can get a heck of a bike for $7k. I would buy new and not used if I could afford it.

Just to try and understand, you own your car outright, or are you paying on it? Like Whiner said, the sky's the limit. For that kind of money, you need to be more specific as to what type of riding you do? Do you like sport quads or utility? Have you ridden before, or is this your first one?

I had a 04 honda 400ex that my dad bought until we got rid of it. It was awesome but I would for sure rather go utility I was really thinkin a kq 450 or so... I am still paying on my car I owe about 13000 after the 5 months and it was a little over 16..anyway thanks for the help guys

Ok so I went today to check it out and I couldn't get it without a cosigner but I was offered a 08 kingquad 400 with a free warn winch for 5000 do you guys think I should take it?

How did you find the power of the 400ex? Too much? Too little? Just right? Usually riding a 400 Utility after a 400 sport quad will make the Utility seem slow... A 400 or a 450 with a pipe and maybe a few other little mods will probably be more than enough.

i liked the power we had the 400ex pretty much all aftermarket the pipe we had on gave it a ton of torque but this one is pretty much just to go muddin and goin through some snow and of course the trail riding but i will be adding to it with a pipe and some other things if i do get it

to me it doesnt sound like to bad of a deal. I dont know know much about the kq though. if it has irs, diff lock, and you like it i say get it. for mudding a diff lock will be handy. around here any type of 400 ute. goes for around $5200-$5400 if its the past years model. with a free wind sounds like a decent deal. if its like 15-20% intrest rate pass on it and find a low rate, like 3-6% depending.

Just checked the Suzuki website... the list price on a KQ400AS is $5,500. So not that big of a deal... also it lacks IRS (rear swingarm).
The MSRP on a KQ450AXi is $6,599.00, so not that big of a price jump (just about 1,000). I'm sure you could say look, you were giving me $500 off of the 400 AND a free winch, do the same for the 450, and charge me $6099 or $6199. Seems fair to me. You get IRS and a newer model that has a better engine. You also get diff-lock! Which is essential for mudding! As well as EFI and other niceties.
Here's the link to the quad's site. http://www.suzukicycles.com/Pr...Features/Default.aspx
I would definitely consider ponying up the extra grand, you get a much better trail/overall bike for the price.
