I'm also thinking of buying a quad. I'm leaning for the 400ex, but algo considering the ds650.

i ride mostly x-country, or go for a ride by a dry riverbed. My buddies ride mostly warriors.

I'm not much into the kind of driving as from a banshee, it's way too unpredictible for me.

I haven't ridden anything other than warriors, banshees and 250R's

Raptor is out of the question, 'cus i have to pay more than 55% in taxes in order to inport it to Mexico.

From what i read all over the net, the 400EX is a great choice, but i'm afraid to fall short. I'm 5.8 and 230 lb.

Also, if you have some magazine article i can use to get an idea, it might help. But, i think REAL rider input is more accurate than magazines.

 

Dude if you usually ride cross country I would go with the 400ex because i'm not sure but i don't think the DS650 is a really a good quad for cross-country, it is mostly for duning and stuff!
