I live in Central Illinois, so that's quite a bit away.

I had a Warrior back in the day, and it was the worst quad I ever owned (and I have owned ~20 quads over the years).

Yamaha just never got this frame right, so it doesn't handle as well as it should. The new Raptor 350 (a Warrior makeover, isn't any better either). I would rather have an EX without reverse, than be saddled on a Warrior.

As stated, the Suzuki Z400 is a good choice as well (and it has reverse), but you are severely limited in terms of funding....

Well, a 400EX is most likely going to cost quite a bit more than a Warrior.

I don't really want to race. I just want something to play around with. Not do jumps or anything like that. Maybe when I get more experience and more $, then I can do whatever...

well i own a warrior, that i know the previous owner. It was used and abused and 10 years old when i got it for 1500. the only thing other than performance mods and brakes and oil filter, ive only had to put valve seals in. ive jumped it and all other types of thing and i think it is damn near unbreakable.
