If you are willing to drive, then there is a place in Mississippi that sales Hondas & Yamaha at a very good price.
They are in Corinth, MS. I believe the dealer is Lake Hill. You can find the info on the Yamaha web page.

I JUST BOUGHT THREE RANCHERS FROM LAKE HILL. DROVE FROM NORTH FLORIDA. IT WAS DEFINATELY WORTH THE TRIP.....NO SALES TAX FOR OUT OF STATE BUYERS....NO HIDDEN CHARGES....THEY HAVE YAMAHA TOO. THE WEB SITE IS HONDADISCOUNTPRICES.COM. BY DRIVING UP THERE I SAVED AT LEAST 3600.00 ON THREE MACHINES. THE SALES PEOPLE WERE GREAT TOO......ASK FOR MIKE....HE'LL DO YOU RIGHT!!!!

Hi TKSIGZERO,
I was going to buy from them and I am from IL.
I was told that you don't have to pay sales tax when you buy the machine, but when you go for the title your state will tax you. Is this true??
Thanks

There is also a Honda and Yamaha dealer in Laurel/Hattiesburg, Mississippi area that offeres extremely good prices as well. When I checked with them several years ago, the owner told me that the majority of his sales are out-of-state. He was also willing to deliver at the state line so that sales tax was not required.
I know this because my parents still live just up the road in Meridian.
His goal was volume, volume and more volume.

It is true that you will have to pay taxes when you title your ATV (or anything that you title at the DMV, for that matter). Yes, some states do require not only titling, but liability insurance, as well. New York requires both, even if it is used only on private land, but ironically, they cannot be ridden on the roads.
