Default What to buy?

Hi, I need some help deciding on what kind of atv to get. I will be moving to Rapid City in the fall and want to buy a quad. I was wondering if anyone knew if a sport or utility would be better for the trails in the black hills. I can prabably aford a early 2000's 400ex if a sport quad would be better. Or if a Utility would be better I know someone who would sell me a 2000 kawasaki prarie 400 4x4 for pretty cheap. I would appriciate oppinions on both quads and trails in the area.

Thanks,
Knowlen

From my limited riding experience (1 week) in the Black Hills a sport quad may get you most places but I would go with a utility machine.

The Black Hills is a great area to ride, we were there in June-2008 and there is a ton to explore.

I'd also go with a 4x4 for snow country. I saw snow in the Black Hills August 27th, 2004 when we crossed from SD to Wyoming. The pass we took had been closed because of new snow the week before.
