hey guys....same guy different thread here....also looking for a different atv....my gf wants one also....however she only has 2k to spend.....she would like a 4x4 utility atv no bigger than a 500....

any opinions on older models? i know honda is reliable but that low ground clearance thing irks me......

basically i'm wondering what i should be looking for....what is avg for hours or miles / year, and stuff like that.....thanks again

 

For a used quad depending on the year 500hrs a year I would say is average anything over 1000hrs a year is well used!

 

I'm with Dodge. It will be tough to find a used 500cc class quad for that kind of money. You might be able to get an early pre-2000 Polaris Scrambler or Sportsman for that but not sure. It depends on your area and how many used quads are on the market.

 

maybe expand your search to 400cc models, and test drive them. you can always pass!

 

well we ended up getting her a 2005 artic cat 400 4x4 automatic..came with a winch, and a plow....only had 278 miles.....machine looks almost new...we paid $3300
