Default Need some help with decisions

So i am in the market currently to buy a sport atv to do trail riding and dunes primarily. Im not sure which of the the major brands to shop from or what size motor to buy. I ride snowmobiles and know that a bigger motor is defiantly better, just not sure if that translates over to atv's and what im going to be doing. Any advice or direction would be helpful. thanks

A little more info would be nice, before we start giving opinions on what quad is for you. Are you tall, what is your weight, experience riding quads, etc. For duning, and if you want power, the bigger quads would be the Raptor 700 (efi, nicer than the 660 dual carbs) and there is the Cam Am DS 650,then the older 2 strokes like the Banshee,or a 250R if you can find a good one.You have the 450 family, the Honda, Yam YZ450, Suzuki and Kawi 450s, and the Can Am 450,which comes in MX or Trail versions. You didnt say what you had to spend, new, these quads run as high as 7k or more, so that will be a consideration. Also, the 450s run a small, flat, hi rev style piston, and these engines need service and rebuilds more often than the old standards like the 400ex, Zuki Z400 and Kawi KFX400, the newer models now have EFI, So there is a lot for you to choose, but you need to narrow it down with what fits you, what you have to spend, and how much time you want to spend on upkeep and maintenence on the motor.

I'm not an expert on sport quads but if you want me to decide for you, get a ds650. Seriously though we need more info like 95wolv said.
