Default renegede 1000, yfz450r, or raptor 700r

hey guys im getting ready to buy a new quad and just having a little trouble making a decision im between the renegede 1000 or 800 the yfz450r or raptor 700 i ride around my back yard about 20 acres no big jumps or anything like that and trail riding up in the upper peninsula in michigan and up north i wont be racing maybe a couple drag races with my friends here and there i would like the renegede because the 4x4 for screwing around in mud and what not but i was just worried it would feel to big and would feel tippy ive also heard the 450s wouldnt be as good of a choice as maybe the raptor 700 for the type of riding i do so if anyone could give me some incite it would be greatly appreciated

If you are going to be in mud more than a few times, a sport quad won't do you much good. The Renegade is great on the trail and mud, seen modded ones with 29" mudders tear up mud drags !! Drag races, don't be fooled, for a sport/utility quad, the Renegade is damn fast, the 800 is scary fast, the 1000 would be insane. Unless you plan on going down to the dunes on a regular basis, I think you would be happier with the Renegade, a great all around quad, that just happens to be damn fast !

The Renegade is the same as a Outlander Utility ATV just with sporty plastic and bumbers , no racks and 25" tires rather than 26". See for yourself http://www.atvreviewnetwork.com/enth...2=309790&go=Go

Same, tranny, motor, suspension, width, length, hight, gas tank and frame.. Take the plastic, bumber, racks off both, and you can not tell which is which. Its not really a sport ATV

Sure it we be fast but there are alot off fast big bore 4x4 Utility ATVs that can beat sport ATVs in acceleration and top end down a long straight run by shear horse power. At 700lbs is not beating a yfz450r or 700 Raptor if large bumps and short spaced turns start showing up.

The Renegade is probably the lightest handling 4x4 I've ever been on. Even the 500 is really quick. As said, the 800 and 1000 are insanely fast. You've got to keep an eye on them. They'll wheelie without even thinking about it. You learn to stay off the throttle in the corners as the engine will lighten up the front end under power and leave you without steering if you're not putting a good part of your weight forward. If it's between your choices and there is mud involved the Renegade is a no brainer unless you want to be pulled out by your buddies on mud rides with a sport quad. We tried a handful of 2wd quads on the trails up here in New England and it didn't take long for us to see a 4x4 is a better way to go where mud is involved. We averaged about 5 or 6 pull outs per trip when we had the 2wd quads with us.
