I've never had an atv helmet / goggles so i'm new to all the brans and stuff
does all goggles fit all helmets or are they brand specific? may sound stupid but i've never wore a helmet before when riding - (just got the quad)

2006 Scrambler 500 First Ride
WOW!! Compared to all the other quads I've road on the trails nothing matches this thing on the fun factor!!! Went riding in a light rain so everything was slick but never had one problem getting where I wanted to go! Riding in Eastern KY and we have some pretty good hills and I hit all of them except 2 that had some rocks that I didn't feel comfortable hitting.
I was riding with a guy on a brand new 400HO Sportsman Utility, his was actually faster from a standing start but I chased him down
Pros:
Smooth ride
Very maneuverable
Nice mid range throttle/torque
No shifting in and out of gear or 4x4
Cons:
Slow on launch vs 400 HO Polaris utility
Hit a decent water hole unintentionally and it spit and sputtered for 10-15 minutes til it cleared up
Grips started sliding off once they got good and wet
Can't seem to wipe the smile off my face it was an awesome ride
Comparing the ride to previous toys I road - 04 Yamaha TTR225, 1995 Kawasaki Bayou 300 2x4, 2005 Kawasaki Brute Force 650i

It felt like it was slipping on the launch a little, I mean I guess it was what you would call slipping, you could hear it wanted to go faster than what it was - it wasn't extremely slow by any means but I don't think in the weather conditions we were riding it it was going to pop a wheelie anyway - maybe it was slippin in the mud? i doubt it though - once it quit "slippin" it was easy for me to pass him though - I'll check the belt out, seen a video online of changing a belt out without taking the clutch off?? that a bad way to do it?

The Scrambler is lighter and 5hp more then the 400H.0. Did you race him off the start in AWD? Maybe he just beat you do to his larger 25" rear tires hooking up to the ground quicker.
Top end you should be close to 60mph and he should be between 50-55 mph.

The first race was on pavement not sure about if it was wad or 2x4 at the time but all 3 races in dirt went the same way! Gonna look at the belt when I get a chance before the next ride.
So far I've seen a lot of folks using the rzr belt? What's a good belt for stock setups?
