First Time Buyer...Help Please

Recon would be perfect for someone her size. Friends had one that the oldest son bought when he was young. His younger brother abused it, along with his second youngest brother, my son, some other friends, etc. Thing looks pretty beat up but still runs after all the abuse. Good solid quad. Not a deep mud machine or anything like that but a good all around quad.

So here are the detail that i have so far on the outlander. 2004 with 10,000 miles. It has a full service record and all parts have been replaced as needed. Again, it is a ATV rental business that is selling it. I believe the asking price is 2200.00. If this sounds like any type of deal, I will make the drive to give it a test ride. What do you think? I don't have the particulars on the recon yet, but will post when they come in. Thanks.

If you go new on an Outlander check out the XT package. Lots of good items for the money. You'd spend a good deal more getting everything separately.

Just want to thank everyone for the previous responses. You have given me so much information to help me narrow things down, but taking into consideration all of the deals that the different brands have, it is more difficult that I expected.
Found a dealer near me offering 2012 Polaris 500 HO with snow plow and winch for $5488.00 + tax and fees. I am going Monday to take a look at it because I have not yeat actually hat my hands on a Polaris. Anything I should know about this year/model before I go? Anyone have problems with the automatic 4wd?
