Default New ATV

Im new on the forum and was looking for some input. I was thinking of getting a new 400 Polaris Sportsman for my wife and possibly a 570 for myself. We have an old 2003 330 Magnum and 2001 400 sportsman which were owned by my parents that we will be selling.
I looked at the Yamahas which are also nice but since im buying new I need to keep my costs down or as low as possible but still want a decent machine for mild riding
Has anyone owned or tired the newer 400 sportsman? or can anyone offer any suggestion's on some other different combos that wont break the bank account too badly?

I don't own one, but Ive noticed the the Sportsman seems to be the best bang for the buck in that class. The Sportsman 400 has AWD and as strange as it sounds odometer & hour meter. Seems like Polaris and Yamaha are the only two that have full featured 400 class machines (not including eps).

The 400 sportsman has been around for awhile. The 2006 has almost the same specs as the 2014. 2006 Polaris Sportsman 450 ATVs

If money was a concern I could find a used mint condition XP850,Gizzly 700 with power steering for the price of a new ATV.
Atvs sure crash in price once they leave the show room and there are many good used ATVs out there.

Buy the time you got a 400 Sportsman out the door you could pay more or the same then this loaded limited edition 700 Grizzly would sell for. 2011 Yamaha Grizzly 700 Special Edition Silver | eBay

That's why I buy used ,you save a lot. Never bought a bad one yet.
Everyone on this forum rides a used ATV, I don,t care if it was bought last week and only rode it twice ,they lost $1500 by now.
