Default Polaris Sportsman 335

I'm thinking about buying a Polaris 335. It is a 2000 model and is and like new condition. It has a little over 400 miles on it. The guy is asking 1900 for it. Is this a good deal or not. would appreciate any help.

Polaris only made the 335 engine in 1999 and 2000. Slow machines, low on power. What few people that we sold them too mentioned this right off and several wished they'd bought the 500. Owner's asking top dollar on this machine. This is what a dealer would sell it for.Kelley Blue Book If you want it,I'd try to get it for less than what he's asking. If he wont budge, walk away and find a 500.

Thanks for the input. What do you think it is worth? Buying it from an individual. And do you think it would have enough power to haul 2 adults?

There's no way I would buy a 335 for 2 adults. They barely have enough power for one person. Riding double on a single person ATV is dangerous and illegal most places anyway. You'd be better off with a 2 person ATV.

Get a 500. I've seen them in my area for not much more than what they're asking for the 335. For about $2500, you should be able to get a Sportsman 500 that's in good shape.

I've already bought it . I got it for 1200 thought that was a good deal.. If I don't like it I'll sell it. Should be able to get a little profit on it.

Just Rember to use the low range where you think you need extra power. Its slower in in low range but the tires will always have the power turn.

If you rode with us your ATV would be fine since our narrow rough trails don't allow any ATV to get over 30mph for long anyways.

The last few times I rode with my friends we ended up going down the road at 50+ MPH. The guy with the 335 couldn't keep up but he did okay on the trails. It just takes him longer to get up to speed and the top end is less.

It's going to be OK where I ride. I can't go that fast anyway. Just like getting out in the wood's and in the creek. Back to nature! Love seeing the wildlife I see sometimes.
