Kawasaki 2011 high miles
#1
I've never owned an ATV. Want one mainly to plow our large driveway and walks and some low key fun stuff. Very low usage.
I found this 2011 Kawasaki 650 Brute Force for under $3,000, however it has 12,000 miles. That seem crazy high.
Should I walk away or look deeper?
What kinds of stuff should a person who knows nothing look for? This is at a dealer.

I know it's a lot of miles. Twelve thousand, however I will mostly use it for plowing and some low speed fun.
So if it runs and fluids look okay, I think I'm going to pull the trigger. It's only $3,000 and not a big risk.
Unless someone has some other advice.

I once saw a Grizzly 700 for sale at a dealer with 17,000 miles on it. It wasn't that new though. I assume they probably drove this thing everywhere. Most likely most of the miles weren't hard miles but condition will probably show that. A 2011 Brute Force 650 with low miles could easily fetch $5000 or more. If its a reputable dealer, they most likely won't sell it with obvious mechanical issues. And if it did need minor repairs, hopefully they took care of that. The biggest concern is the engine. That's an expensive fix if it ever needs a total rebuild. Perhaps it already has, that would be good thing.
