What bike is right for me?
#1
I need some help, I'm looking for a new quad to make into a trail and woods machine. Cost under $5500, can be 4X4 or 2X4, sport, or utility, doesn't matter, I want something fast, fun to drive and something that won't be too underpowered for a 6'1", 270 rider. I was thinking either Banshee (con= no reverse) or Polaris Xplorer 400 (worried about not enough power and size) these bike have nothing in common, other than both being two strokes, which isn't important, I jsut want a good, inexpensive quad that would do great on the trails, thanks for any help

The Banshee is better suited to open areas, also it has little bottom end torque. For your size
you should look at 500 cc. 4 strokes. you dont give enough info to recommend anything in particular. For some good prices try Lake Hill
Motors in Corinth Ms. shouldnt be too far away.
lakehillmotors.com I think. good luck with your choice.

Have you thought about the scrambler 500 4x4 or 2x4?I own the 500 4x4 and it is a good do it all machine. It has enough power to go basicaly anywhere and also has 4 wheel drive and reverse. The down side to this machine is the weight.I believe it weighs 540 lb.But i have had very good luck with mine and i even put a pipe on it and it really woke it up.It is great for what your going to be riding in.(trails and woods.)I got mine for $6,000.Well i hope this helps you a little and good luck on whatever you get.
