Read to buy ,Help
#1
I've looked at:Yamaha,Susuki,Honda,Artic Cat,Kawasaki.
I need at least a 400/500.I don't want a racer just something to cruise on the 2000 miles of Idaho trails. I have read good and bad about all of them, so if you could go back to your first purchase,which would you chose? Want to tow a small trailer for camping and hunting. Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi there;
Just my opinion. I have 2 Honda 4x4's and had a 2wd Recon before.
I ride in the great white north and need quads that will get you there and then back again. The Honda's always will. They are bulletproof and reliable, but there ride is not as good as it could be. I would entertain any Japanese made bikes, as I do not think the Homegrown's are up to snuff yet. Unless, you like to fix and maintain more than you ride. I do plan on buying a new one in spring and it will probably be a Yamaha or Kawasaki, just because of the poor ride of the Honda.
Good luck

The New Yamaha 600 or the AC 500 will give the best ride by far, both have plenty of power. The Yam is faster. The Rubicon has a great tranny but has
swing arm rear suspension and drum brakes. The Suz is short narrow and mushy
with heavy steering. The Kaw 650 has gobs of power, a great braking system
but a swingarm rear. Good luck whatever you choose.
