i need some big help here, i ride in a lot of trails but they are wide so width is not a problem. i also do a lot of road rides. i am about 6'3 and i have a 300ex now. i wanna sell it and get a new quad,i have o clue what to get.

 

I've owned both the 400 & 300EX and have the DS now. For taller riders the DS in alot more comfortable than the 400EX. It's also alot faster, but the EX handles very well and is less expensive. The honda is a better MXer, but I like the DS better for all around riding just because it has so much more power. If you like the ergonomics of the EX but want something with more horse power, the Raptor has about the same seating posision. If you wait a couple of months you can checkout the new Suzuki which might end up being the pick of the litter.

 

ive never had a 400 but i do ride a ds 650 and its a great ride im only 6'1 and 230 but i feel comfortable on mine. Its a powerful monster its only downfall is the factory rev limiter but for 300.oo that can be swapped out to. The new Baha ds is sharp thats alot of power.

 

you might consider not getting the ds for trails on the fact you need a tow truck if you get it stuck....beleave me when you get into a situation like going down hill and and it's a tight dead end and you need to turn around it can get to be a big job . also when you get a ds stuck in the mud ....it's a mighty handfull... my thoughts are find somone who owns a ds and take it for a spin ...and then you will know if you want one ...
